Preparing a compliance manual for anti-money laundering and combating with financing terrorism laws to
support member companies to comply with the laws accurately and correctly;
Preparing guidelines, charter specimens, and manuals in relation to the Insurance Commission Declaration
on Prescribed Rules, Procedures, and Conditions on the Receipt of Money, Disbursement, Audit, and Internal
Control of Insurance Companies B.E. 2557;
Jointly holding, with The General Insurance Association of Japan and The General Insurance Institute of
Japan, The Insurance School (Non-Life) of Japan Overseas Seminar 2014 on “Achieving Healthy Growth in
the Automobile Insurance Market;”
Considering insurance data structures and developing IBS in cooperation with OIC and disseminating
insurance statistics to member companies on a monthly basis;
Developing new standard insurance policies such as Liability Insurance Policy for Operations of Controlled
Businesses Type 3 under the law of controlling fuel oils, oils, liquefied petroleum gas, natural gas; Household
Fire Insurance Policy; Carriers’ Liability Insurance Policy;
Establishing central databases of insurance information such as Standard Prices for Car Repair, Standard
Car Prices, Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Insurance Financial Strength Rating (IFSR), and E-law library;
Implementing “Hit and Separate” Project by modifying the forms of K-lettered sticker and the “Hit-and-
Separate” document by pulling them together into one document to facilitate insureds when having a car
accident on the road and to lessen traffic problems;
Setting up a Motor Underwriting Club to promote, exchange, and disseminate knowledge, experiences, and
opinions; to support good relationships among members; and to be a center in disseminating know-how,
techniques, and strategies in motor underwriting;
Conducting the training course for motor surveyors annually, and this year was Class 5, to develop
competency of personnel of non-life insurance business;
Coordinating with OIC in determining prescribed rules for issuing insurance policies in an electronic form in
order to facilitate insureds and reduce cost of policy insurance.
Finally, I would like to express my sincere thanks to all related organizations both in public and private sectors
and all member companies for kind contributions and cooperation that made TGIA’s operations and activities
successful. Besides, I would like to thank member companies for making all payments of 2011 flood claims done
smoothly. Last, but not least, I would like to thank members of the Board of Directors and of all Committees and the staff
of TGIA for the strong collective efforts, so the Association was able to implement and undertake all activities well and
fruitfully as well as to build confidence and gain acceptance from the Thai society so far.
