Thai General Insurance Association’s Activities

1. CEO Forum “Insurance Moving toward Strength in ASEAN”
Thai General Insurance Association conducted a CEO Forum on “Insurance Moving toward Strength in
ASEAN” to promote a mutual understanding among top managements of insurance companies for the
preparedness in setting companies’ future plans and operational policies that would help strengthen Thai insurance
business before entering into ASEAN Economic Community in 2015. The Forum was honored to have the Insurance
Commissioner to give speech and clarify the policies on determination of minimum capital requirement,
maintenance of Risk-Based Capital Phase 2 and promotion of foreign investment of insurance companies. The
Forum was held on August 8, 2014 at the meeting room of OIC Advanced Insurance Institute Building, Office of
Insurance Commission.

2. Jointly holding, with the Insurance School (Non-life) of Japan, a seminar on “Achieving Healthy
Growth in the Automobile Insurance Market”
Thai General Insurance Association jointly held, with the Insurance School (Non-life) of Japan (ISJ) which
representing The General Insurance Association of Japan and The General Insurance Institute of Japan, an ISJ
Overseas Seminar 2014 on “Achieving Healthy Growth in the Automobile Insurance Market”. Topics covered in the
seminar included An overview of Japanese insurance market; Regulations on motor insurance underwriting,
products, premium rates, and claim management in Japan; and Introduction to Japan’s Research and Training
Center for Automotive Repair and Medical Education Institute for Insurance Adjusters. The seminar was held during
September 2-3, 2014, from 8:30 a.m. - 5.00 p.m., Shangri-La Hotel, Bangkok.

3. Attending ASEAN Insurance Summit 2014
Thai General Insurance Association, represented by Mr. Arnon Opaspimoltum, Vice President of TGIA,
Mr. Nopadol Santipakorn, Secretary General of TGIA, and Mr. Kheedhej Anansiriprapha, Executive Director of TGIA,
attended the ASEAN Insurance Summit 2014 with the theme “ASEAN Economic Community 2015 - Opportunities
and Challenges for the Insurance Industry” on October 1, 2014 at Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay
Sands, Singapore.

4. Attending the 27 East Asian Insurance Congress (EAIC)
Thai General Insurance Association attended the 27 East Asian Insurance Congress (EAIC), being held

during November 2-6, 2014, Taipei, Taiwan, under the theme of “Insurance at the Cross Roads: Coping with the
Change”, having representatives as follows:
1. Mr. Arnon Opaspimoltum Vice President of TGIA as Chief Delegate
2 Mr. Nopadol Santipakorn Secretary General of TGIA
3. Ms. Duanden Choenchitsiri Chairman of Property Insurance Committee as a Panelist

5. Attending the 40 ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting
Thai General Insurance Association, represented by Mr. Arnon Opaspimoltum, Vice President of TGIA,
Mr. Nopadol Santipakorn, Secretary General of TGIA, and Mr. Kheedhej Anansiriprapha, Executive Director of
TGIA, attended the 40 ASEAN Insurance Council Meeting, being held during November 24 - 27, 2014 in Brunei

Darussalam.

6. Preparing Reports on Non-life Insurance Statistics and Trend of Insurance Industry
Thai General Insurance Association, by Insurance Premium Rating Bureau (IPRB), in cooperation with OIC,
had prepared reports of non-life insurance statistics to present sets of data and analytical reviews to insurance
companies on a quarterly basis, and published a Report on “Insurance Industry Overview and Trend in the Next
Year” for executives of insurance companies. The Report contained information about the market movements and
expansions which were in-depth and beneficial to strategic planning of insurance companies.
