1.8 Providing a Set of Video Conference to The Institute of Forensic Medicine
Miscellaneous, Accident and Health Insurance Committee provided a video conference system to The
Institute of Forensic Medicine, to support functions of forensic medicine to cover nationwide, on December 2, 2014
at The Institute of Forensic Medicine, Royal Thai Police, Patumwan, Bangkok, having Mr. Kheedhej Anansiriprapha,
Executive Director of Thai General Insurance Association and representatives of the Committee acting as a grantor,
and having Pol. Maj. Gen. Pornchai Suteerakune, Commander of The Institute of Forensic Medicine, Police General
Hospital, acting as a grantee.
2. Social Responsibility and Environmental Activities
2.1 Building a Check Dam
HR Insurance Club had organized a field trip for a social activity and member meeting of HRI Club to promote
good relationship among HR personnel in insurance business and to undertake a social activity of building a check
dam during November 21-22, 2014 in Petchaburi Province.
2.2 Donating to The Foundation of Sirindhorn International Environmental Park under The Patronage of
HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn
Thai General Insurance Association donated to The Foundation of Sirindhorn International Environmental

Park under The Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn for 10,000 baht, on the occasion of the 15
Anniversary of Foundation of the Anti-Money Laundering Office, on August 19, 2014 at Tawana Hotel.
2.3 Jointly Organizing a Conference on National Safety Engineering
Property Insurance Committee hosted and jointly organized the 5 Conference of National Safety Engineering,

under the theme “Safety Engineering and International Industrial Development”, aiming to disseminate academic
and safety professional knowledges, by sponsoring the conference for 50,000 baht, on July 19, 2014 at Engineering
Faculty, King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang.
2.4 Reorganizing Service of Public Passenger Cars (Vans)
As the National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) assigned Land Transportation Department to reorganize
service of public passenger cars (vans) to make it in order and to protect the public welfare of having convenient
and safe services, the Department then became more restrictive and implemented legal measure to force public
passenger cars to have the right registration and tax payment pertaining to actual usages. The NCPO also assigned
Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) to ensure that those cars have all insurance as stipulated by laws, including
compulsory motor insurance for public passenger transportation and voluntary motor insurance type 3, or higher,
for public passenger transportation. Activities to reorganize order of public passenger cars were held both in
Bangkok and upcountry, during July 15-17 and 19-20, 2014.
Thai General Insurance Association had invited insurance companies to join in the activities by setting up
underwriting booth for compulsory and voluntary motor insurance. There were 5 non-life insurance companies
joining, namely Bangkok Insurance Plc., Thaivivat Insurance Plc., Muang Thai Insurance Plc., The Viriyah Insurance
Plc., and Syn Mun Kong Insurance Plc.
2.5 Studying Factors of Accidents and Finding Accident Preventives Measures
Motor Insurance Committee had participated in a public forum on “Lesson Learnt from Accident to Solution -
Case of a 2-story Air-Conditioned Coach Overshooting a Curve and Falling Down an Abyss nearby Doi Ruak area,
Tak Province”, to study factors leading to accidents and jointly find accident preventive measures, on May 7, 2014,
Hall of Mae Sot’s District Office, Mae Sot, Tak Province.
