               13. Performance of the Office of Arbitration
                     The Office of Arbitration has been in operation for 20 years. In 2014, the Office received 2,548 cases of
               disputes, an increase of 3.17% or 81 cases from the prior year. Total amount of disputes in 2014 was approximately
               265 million baht. The highest amount of dispute in 2014 was approximately 41 million baht. In 2014, the Office had
               settled 3,556 cases, of which 766 disputes or 22% were ruled by arbitrators, 1,584 disputes or 45% were
               compromised in the secretariat level of the Office of Arbitration, and 1,206 disputes or 34% were withdrawn from the
               arbitration. The total amount of settlements in 2014 was around 181 million baht. As of December 31, 2014, there
               were 1,958 cases pending, 329 cases being under the process of withdrawal from the arbitration in relation to
               Samphan Insurance Company Limited as a disputing party, 1,629 cases being undertaken, 1,362 cases being
               under the process of arranging appointments for compromising and filing for objection, and 267 cases being
               reviewed by arbitrators.


               14. Performance of the Insurance Premium Rating Bureau (IPRB) in 2013
                     The IPRB’s vision and mission are as follows:
                     Vision
                     To build a strong and sustainable foundation for the general insurance industry in Thailand through accurate
               information and fair ratemaking services.
                     Mission
                     To prepare reference loss costs for general insurance products, and provide information and research as a
               basis for the operation and supervision as well as the development of the general insurance industry.
                     IPRB was granted budget for operation from Thai General Insurance Association, which was in accordance
               with the Proposal of Organizational Structure and Source of Budget approved by the Department of Insurance. In
               2014, total operating expenses of IPRB was 12.32 million baht. IPRB had undertaken key activities in 3 areas to
               support the Insurance Development Plan II (Year 2010-2014) and Thai General Insurance Association’s operation
               as follows:
                     1.  Development of Insurance Premiums Rating and Insurance Bureau System
                       (1) Preparing framework for the development of regulations of insurance products, premium rates, and
                          commissions for non-life insurance;
