TGIA’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Activities

The Thai General Insurance Association, as a central organization of insurance private sector, had a major
policy in developing, promoting, and supporting members in insurance business to unite and help each other. In
addition, the Association has expanded its role more into social works and activities for public benefit that are in
line with the mission of TGIA in creating awareness of safety and security in life, body, and property, as well as in
social responsibility, leading to a number of social work projects and activities for public benefit of Thai General
Insurance Association. In 2015, the Association had carried out key projects and social activities as follows:

1. Donating to An Honorary Project of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s on the

Auspicious Occasion of 5 Cycle Birthday Anniversary
Thai Insurance Association donated money to support an Honorary Project of Her Royal Highness Princess
Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s on the Auspicious Occasion of 5 Cycle Birthday Anniversary 2 April 2015. The money

were used for building a medical station conferred on the Border Patrol Police School Baan Leelanon, Sukhirin,
Narathiwat, supplying medical instruments and necessary equipment and furniture for the medical station, the
school’s building renovation, providing teaching aids and tools, suppling playing stations for playground, as well
as buying 200-baht PA insurance policies for staff of all Border Patrol Police schools nationwide totaling 824
policies, all added up to be 525,000 baht, on July 27, 2015, at the Office of Insurance Commission.

2. Donating to Earthquake Victims in Nepal
Thai General Insurance Association, together with non-life insurance companies, donated money to help
alleviate the suffering of earthquake victims in Nepal, under a “Thai Hearts to Nepal” project for 500,000 baht on
May 29, 2015 at Naree Samosorn Building, Government House.

3. Sponsoring Activities of the Royal Automobile Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage (RAAT)
Thai General Insurance Association sponsored a budget of 300,000 baht to the Royal Automobile
Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage (RAAT) for its activities in Year 2015.

4. Providing Barriers for Car Theft Prevention
Thai General Insurance Association sponsored a budget of 286,893.75 baht for making and installing
guard rails to prevent cross-border car theft along the Highway 1149, Mae Sai, Chiang Rai for 3 locations, on
December 8, 2015 at the 1 Chiang Rai Highway District, Mae Sai, Chiang Rai.

5. Donating to the Foundation for Consumers
Thai General Insurance Association donated 100,000 baht to the Foundation for Consumers for its operation
in consumer’s right protection, on December 21, 2015 at the Foundation for Consumers.

6. Sponsoring the 6 National Safety Engineering Conference

Thai General Insurance Association co-sponsored “the 6 National Safety Engineering Conference” for

50,000 baht. The Conference was held by The Engineering Institute of Thailand under H.M. the King’s Patronage
on July 4, 2015, at Kasetsart University, Bangkhen campus.
