1. Welcoming the Representatives of the Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC)
The General Insurance Association welcomed a group of representatives of the Association of Insurance
Commissioners (NAIC), an organization comprising of members who are insurance commissioners from all
US states who visited GIA on June 21, 2011 to discuss and to exchange views on insurance market condition and
trend and the development of insurance business.

2. Joining the Flood Disaster Relief Pool
Representatives were appointed to join the following working groups of the Flood Disaster Relief Pool, in
conjunction with the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC).
1) The Catastrophe Pool Working Group
2) The Rehabilitation and Public Relations Working Group
3) Loss Reserve Working Group
4) Flood-Related Risk Management Measure Assessment Working Group

3. Flood Relief Efforts
3.1 During a period from October 25 to December 16, 2011, the coordination and assistance centers for
the insured, affected by the flood were set up all over the country to provide coordination and assistance to the
insured in matters related to insurance claims.
3.2 “Insurance for Flood Relief” and “Integrated Car Repair Service 2011”
The General Insurance Association, the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) and the Insurance Club
organized the activities under the “Insurance for Flood Relief” project. The GIA also joined the Union Motors
Repairing Association of Thailand and the Insurance Accredited Garage Association to organized the “Integrated
Car Repair Service 2011”
