8. Insurance Agency License Examination Program
At the National Insurance Strategy Meeting on March 12, 2003, the Office of Insurance Commission has
assigned the General Insurance Association to provide agency license examination service on behalf of the
Office of Insurance Commission.
In 2011, starting from January 1 to December 31, the total number of applicants nationwide was 7,207, of
which 80.15% of total applicants sat for the examinations. The percentage of passing was 44.0% against the
19.8% of the persons who did not pass the tests.
