- Conducted workshop and provided technical advice on Insurance Liabilities Valuation for GIA
members.
- Joined with Motor Insurance Committee in organizing workshop for the underwriter about Reference
Claim Costs usage for motor insurance premium rate defining.
In addition, IPRB has been involved in several special activities during the year 2011 e.g.

- Supported the Insurance Reserve Tax Committee as well as Accounting, Finance and Investment
Committee in providing information to The Revenue Department of Thailand in order to support the
GIA’s proposed revision of the Revenue Code in Section 65 Ter (1) (b) which would allow insurance
companies to recognize loss and premium reserve as expenses for tax purposes.
- Joined with GIA to participate in the “Insurance Week” organized by the OIC between 2-4 September
2011.
- Co-hosted with The Society of Actuaries of Thailand (SOAT) in organizing “Non-Life Insurance Forum
2011: Reducing Uncertainty, Creating Values” on 23 September 2011. The forum was successful in
igniting the exchange of views, networking, and open discussion on issues of common interest,

especially the issues concerning RBC.

11. Activities Implemented by the Insurance Member Club
The Insurance Member Club organized sports and recreational events to promote good health and unity
among its members as follows:
11.1 Insurance Bowling Tournament

Organized the 5 Insurance Bowling Tournament on Saturday, July 30, 2011 at the Strike Bowl, the Mall
Ngarm Wong Wan Shopping Center. 100 bowlers joined the activity.
