5. The 19 Insurance Management Development Program (IMDP)
The Committee, in collaboration with the Academic Services and Training Center of the Faculty of Commerce
and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, had organized the 19 Insurance Management Development

Program (IMDP) from September 9 - December 1, 2013, having 156 hours of training in total. There were 41
participants from insurance companies, broker companies and the Office of Insurance Commission joining the
program.

6. Insurance against Coldness Project
The Committee prepared and distributed 4,000 sheets of blankets under the “Insurance against Coldness”
project to coldness victims who were in poverty and lacked of blankets. The blankets were handed to coldness
victims in 2 provinces which were Prayao, on December 23, 2013, and Uttaradit, on January 10, 2014.

7. Training Scholarships from the General Insurance Association of Japan

7.1 The 23 ISJ Advanced Course

The General Insurance Association of Japan granted 2 scholarships of the 23 ISJ Advanced Course to

the Thai General Insurance Association. In this regard, the Committee organized a selective examination
to select participants among employees from insurance companies to win the scholarship. The Course
theme was “Strategy for Sustainable Growth of Non-life Insurance Companies,” being held from May
20-31, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan. The selected persons were:
1. Mr. Kriengkrai Jiwanon, Southeast Insurance Public Company Limited, and
2. Mrs. Chotima Puasiri, Namseng Insurance Public Company Limited.

7.2 The 40 ISJ General Course

The General Insurance Association of Japan granted 2 scholarships of the 40 ISJ General Course to the
Thai General Insurance Association. In this regard, the Committee organized a selective examination to
select participants among employees from insurance companies to win the scholarship. The Course

theme was “Non-life Insurance and Risk Management in Japan,” being held from October 21 -
November 1, 2013 in Tokyo, Japan. The selected persons were:
1. Mr. Achirawat Rongkachareonrat, Thai Reinsurance Public Company Limited, and
2. Mr. Charnpon Rattanaporn, New Hampshire Insurance Company (Thailand Branch).
