Dr. Somporn Suebthavilkul, President of the Thai General Insurance Association, honored the academic seminar on insurance
on the topic of “Societal that Impact the Insurance Landscape” and gave a special lecture on “Social Dynamics and Impacts on
the Insurance Business” organized by the Thai Insurance Brokers Association in collaboration with Thailand Insurance Magazine.
The event was attended by members of the Thai Insurance Brokers Association, related associations, and the media. Mr. Adisorn
Pipatvorapong, Deputy Secretary-General for Legal Affairs, Cases, and Benefits Protection, Office of the Insurance Commission,
presided over the opening ceremony of the seminar on March 27, 2024, at the Ballroom, Grand Fortune Hotel, Rama 9.

25. Organizing a seminar to share TFRS 17 knowledge for the media
The Accounting-Finance and Investment Committee of the Thai General Insurance Association organized a seminar to share
knowledge with the media on the topic of Financial Reporting Standard No. 17 on Insurance Contracts (TFRS 17) and tax issues
in an easy-to-understand manner so that media in various fields, such as insurance, economics, and finance, can understand
and use this information to disseminate news correctly. Ms. Sunee Srisukthaveerat, Vice Chairwoman of the Accounting-Finance
and Investment Committee, and Ms. Buntharik Noisewak, Accounting-Finance and Investment Committee, were speakers on
January 23, 2024 at the Thai General Insurance Association.
