Report of the Motor Insurance Committee






               1. A Project to Disburse the Medical Cost of Emergency Patient From Motor Accident Victims Fund
                  and e-Claim Standard Signage
                     The Committee and the Office of Insurance Commission jointly implement a project to disburse the medical

               cost of emergency patient from motor accident victims fund and had held a meeting to clarify the direction of claim
               payment to the car accident victim in order to motivate hospitals and insurance companies to join e-Claim system
               for the benefit of the accident victims. The Committee also cooperated with the Office of Insurance Commission to
               implement an e-Claim standard signage project in order to develop the standard of claim payment in motor
               insurance to be in the same direction.


               2. The Project To Disseminate Auto Technical Information Related to Underwriting Risk
                     The Committee has hired the Thatcharm (Thailand) to conduct a study and to disseminate motor’s technical
               information related to underwriting risk. In the second year, the company has studied and conducted an analysis

               on new cars that will be introduced to the market and those which have been insured or sold in the market for about
               20 models. The company shall disseminate the information to the public, the general insurance business, related
               manufacturers or the assemblers including the inspection and certification of equivalent parts to the manufacturers
               who need certification of their spare parts.


               3. Best Surveyor Award 2012: BSA 2012
                     The Committee organized the Best Surveyor Award 2012 in order to develop motor insurance personnel,
               especially the insurance surveyors who work for member companies and survey companies. The judging panel
               comprises 9 members. The Committee has invited staff of member companies to join the project.


               4. Knock for Knock Project

                     The Committee has developed the “Accident Confirmation Form” to be used in the Knock for Knock project
               that is simple and called “Claim Form”. It will publicize the project to member companies and the insured to promote
               its use to solve traffic problem. The committee has planned to organize meeting for member companies and will
               publicize the project through the media.
