9.2 The 41 ISJ General Course

The General Insurance Association of Japan granted 3 scholarships of the 41 ISJ General Course to
th
Thai General Insurance Association. In this regard, the Committee organized a selective examination to
select participants among employees from insurance companies and agencies under Thai General
Insurance Association to win the scholarships. The Course theme was “Non-life Insurance and Risk
Management in Japan,” being held from October 14 - 24, 2014 in Tokyo, Japan. The selected persons
were:
1. Ms. Raynu Niyomdechar, AXA Insurance Public Company Limited,
2. Ms. Pavirisa Homprasert, AIG Insurance (Thailand) Public Company Limited, and
3. Mr. Rutchai Kitkunanantaeak, Thai General Insurance Association.

10. The 27 East Asian Insurance Congress

The Committee sent a letter to member companies, inviting them to join the 27 East Asian Insurance
th
Congress, being held during November 2-6, 2014, Taipei, Taiwan. The Committee acted as a coordinator and
facilitator for the arrangement of trip and accommodation, and for preparation of a show, on behalf of Thai delegates,
for the Banquet and Closing Ceremony on the last day of the Congress.

11. The 47 Anniversary of Thai General Insurance Association

The Committee held a religious ceremony for prosperity on the occasion of the 47 Anniversary of Thai
th
General Insurance Association on Friday 14 , November, 2014, from 10.00 a.m. -12.00 p.m. at the Meeting Room
th
221, Thai General Insurance Association, and hosted a 47 Anniversary Celebration Ceremony from 6.00 p.m. - 10.00
th
p.m. at Thai CC Tower, Sathorn Road. There were shows and mini-concerts from many artists. Executives of member
companies and related organizations, both in public and private sectors including OIC, insurance companies, and
mass media were invited.

12. Press Conference - Dinner News with TGIA
The Committee held a press conference on “Non-life Insurance Business Performance for the Past 7 Months
and Overview of Non-life Insurance Business Growth in 2014” under the theme of “Dinner News with TGIA” on
September 9, 2014 at Thai General Insurance Association.

13. Insurance Dictionary
The Working Group of Insurance Dictionary of The Royal Institute had held a meeting to review on insurance
terminologies, both establishing words and definitions, during August 15-17, 2014 at Khetwarin Resort, Amphawa,
Samut Songkhram.

14. Making Medias for Insurance Public Relations
14.1 Publishing Insurance Journal (on a quarterly basis) to promote the non-life insurance business and to
disseminate insurance knowledge and news to members.
14.2 Publishing a comic on “La-on Thai Huk Kwarm Prondpai”, the winning cartoon story from the 6 Young

Insurance Ambassador Project, to be distributed to schools and educational institutes nationwide.
