7. Revising the Carriers’ Liability Insurance Policy and Endorsements of the Carriers’ Liability
Insurance Policy (Form KHOR SOR.1 - Form KHOR SOR.4)
The Committee revised the Carriers’ Liability Insurance Policy and developed an Endorsement of Coverage
Extension for the Carriers’ Liability Arising from Using a Vehicle for International Transportation (Form KHOR SOR.3)
which were approved by the Insurance Commissioner on July 3, 2014. In addition, the Committee also developed
English versions of endorsements of the Carriers’ Liability Insurance Policy (Form KHOR SOR.1-Form KHOR SOR.4)
and developed both Thai and English versions of Endorsement on Claim Consideration Conditions for the Carriers’
Liability Arising from Using a Vehicle for International Transportation (Form KHOR SOR.4) which were approved by
the Insurance Commissioner on November 4, 2014.
8. Drafting a Logistics Service Providers’ Liability Insurance Policy
The Committee drafted a Logistics Service Providers’ Liability Insurance Policy, aiming to provide coverage
for the insured’s liability arising from operations under logistics contracts, to support the entry into the ASEAN
Economic Community or AEC in 2015.
9. Organizing an Insurance and Logistics Academic Field Trip (Bangkok-Huay Sai-Bo Ten
Economic Zone-Chiang Rai)
The Committee had organized an Insurance and Logistics Academic Field Trip (Bangkok-Huay Sai-Bo Ten
Economic Zone-Chiang Rai) during February 12-14, 2015 to study and survey the Economic Route R3A for the
benefit of marine insurance underwriting and claim management which would be useful to insurance operations.
10. Organizing a Field Trip to Observe Border Trading Activities at the Aranyaprathet Customs
House, Sa Kaeo Province
The Committee had organized a field trip to observe border trading activities at the Aranyaprathet Customs
House, Sa Kaeo Province, during March 20-21, 2015, aiming to acknowledge the participants about the operation
of the Aranyaprathet Customs House so they could apply what had been learned to their operations.
11. Marine & Transportation Insurance Data Structure
The Office of Insurance Commission has set up a project of Insurance Bureau System (IBS) Development,
aiming to have a central database for the insurance business. In this regard, the OIC assigned related parties to
review details of the data structure of all types of insurance one more time to ensure that they are in line with
companies’ operations. The Marine Insurance and Logistics Committee joined meetings to review the details of the
data structure of marine & transportation insurance, together with the Thai Insurers Datanet Company Limited and
the Insurance Premium Rating Bureau. Comments from the meetings will be sent to the OIC and a briefing meeting
for member companies will be held afterward.
