The Committee has prepared to revise and amend current non-standard insurance policies to make them
standardized and to revise insurance policies having been approved by the Registrar for a while to be up-to-
date and consistent with current situation. In this regard, the Committee had sent out a questionnaire on policy

consideration.

The Committee has revised and amended wording of the standard Thai-version Contract Works Insurance
policy by setting up a working group consisting of representatives from the Committee and specialists from
member companies which have market shares in the top 10 rankings. The revision intends to serve the needs
of all classes of clients, no matter large- or small-sized.
3. A Revised Bail Bond Insurance Policy
The Committee filed a revised Bail Bond Insurance policy and endorsements and the Registrar granted
an approval as in the Registrar Order No. 35/2558 on Prescribed Use of Form, Wording, and Premium Rates
of Bail Bond Insurance Policy and Endorsements, dated October 5, 2015, being effective from November 1,
2015 onwards. For Bail Bond Insurance policies having been issued prior to this Order and being still in force
shall remain effective until their expiry dates. There were 26 insurance companies filed for the aforementioned

Endorsements
The Committee has developed an interpretation manual for Public Liability Insurance policy and
endorsements, having Adjunct Professor Pramual Chancheewa, who is specialized in the public liability
insurance, joining the manual development working group. The work is now in the process.
5. Third Party Liability Insurance for Amusement Parks
As Article 10 of the Ministerial Regulation on A Control of Playing Machines in Amusement Parks B.E.
2558, having been in force since April 24, 2015, has prescribed a period to have a third-party liability insurance
providing a coverage for death benefit of not less than 100,000 baht/person, together with medical expense
benefit of not less than 100,000 baht/person, making a combined limit of not less than 1 million baht/occurrence
plus a coverage for third-party property damage of not less than 200,000 baht/occurrence; unfortunately, it
turned out that amusement park entrepreneurs could not find any insurance to comply with the Regulation,
especially playing machines to be used for not more than 15 days (mobile playing machines). Therefore, the
Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning requested the Thai General Insurance Association
to help cope with this problem. The Association had informed member companies, inviting them to accept risks
of third party liability arising from amusement parks and 3 companies agreed to accept this kind of risk. So an
informing letter was sent to the Department of Public Works and Town & Country Planning for acknowledgement
and further publicize to the amusement entrepreneurs.
