1. The 7 Insurance Genius Youth Project
The Committee held an insurance quiz contest under the 7 Insurance Genius Youth Project by inviting

high-school students (Mattayom 4 – 6) to participate in the insurance quiz contest to win scholarships. In the
regional screening round, the examinations were held simultaneously nationwide on December 17, 2015.
The championship round was held during March 17-19, 2016 at the Miracle Grand hotel. The winner team of
the contest will receive a scholarship of 100,000 baht, together with a trophy plate conferred from Her Royal
Highness Princess Soamsawali.

2. The 25 Insurance Seminar and the TGIA’s 48 anniversary
The Committee organized the 25 Insurance Seminar under the theme of “Digitalization for the Thai

Insurance Industry” on November 18, 2015 at the Swissotel Nai Lert Park hotel. The seminar was honored
to have Mr. Krisada Chinavicharana, Director-General, Fiscal Policy Office, to deliver a keynote address on
Thailand’s Economic Policy and Trend. Participants of the seminar comprised high-level executives of the OIC,
executives of insurance companies, and participants from several other related organizations. As the Year
2015 was also the TGIA’s 48 anniversary, the Committee also hosted a celebrating party in the evening, being

honored to have Dr. Sutthipol Taweechaikarn, the Secretary-General of the Office of Insurance Commission, to
give a keynote speech on Trend of the Thai Insurance Business in a Digital Era.
3. The Insurance Management Development Program (IMDP) - Class 21
The Committee, in collaboration with the Academic Services and Training Center of the Faculty of
Commerce and Accountancy, Chulalongkorn University, had organized the Insurance Management Development
Program (IMDP) - Class 21 from September 2 – November 29, 2015, covering 144 hours of training and having
55 participants in total. The program aimed to enable the participants to continuously utilize their potentials in
developing themselves as well as their organizations to keep up with the rapidly changed business world; be
able to learn and enhance knowledges from both theoretical aspect and examples; and be able to suggest
new technologies that might be available in the future to be applied to companies’ operation and development.
4. A Project of Salary and Welfare Survey of Non-life Insurance Business in 2015
The Committee, by the HR Insurance Club, has carried out a project of Salary and Welfare Survey of Non-
life Insurance Business in 2015 to lift up the standard of remuneration management for insurance personnel to be
competitive when compared with other businesses or industries in Thailand. Participating member companies
will receive a report of the survey on the wage rates in the business as well as information about an overview
forecast of economic indicators which will be useful for corporate personnel planning. The HR Insurance Club
has chosen Towers Watson (Thailand) Limited, a HR consulting firm with world-class systems and management
tools, to run this project. There are 38 member companies participating in the project.
5. The 4 Young Non-life Insurer Camp

The HR Insurance Club had organized the 4 Young Non-life Insurer Camp, by selecting 40 sophomores

and juniors in universities nationwide to join the Camp. The Camp’s activities included seminars in small groups;
lectures providing insurance knowledge and understanding as well as exchanges of views, perceptions, and
attitudes toward insurance business; team-building activities, and an on-site visit to AIG Insurance (Thailand)
Public Company Limited. The Camp was hold during October 3 – 5, 2015, at the Phukhaongam Resort hotel,
Nakhonnayok.
6. Selection of Participants for the 42 ISJ General Course

The General Insurance Association of Japan granted 3 scholarships for the 42 ISJ General Course
nd
to the Thai General Insurance Association. In this regard, the Committee conducted an examination to select
participants among employees from insurance companies and agencies under the Thai General Insurance
Association to receive the scholarships. The Course theme was “Non-life Insurance and Risk Management in
Japan,” being held from October 19 – 30, 2015 in Tokyo, Japan. The selected persons were:
1. Ms. Seranee Suthipongkiat, MSIG Insurance Public Company Limited,
2. Ms. Duangporn Sriwongthai, Road Accident Victims Protection Company Limited, and
3. Mr. Wichukorn Nilmanat, Viriyah Insurance Public Company Limited.
