5. Conducting a Training Course on Accident Inspection Class 6
The Committee had conducted a training course in Accident Inspection for motor surveyors of insurance
companies. The training objectives were to develop skill, knowledge and understanding in motor insurance to
motor surveyors, aiming to enhance their knowledge and expecting them to apply what had learned in class to
real life, as well as to promote creditability and good image of insurance business. The training was held twice
a week, on Tuesday and Thursday, 72 hours in total, starting from October 6 – November 13, 2015 at the Thai
General Insurance Association. The certificate and prize ceremony of the training course in Accident Inspection
Class 6 was held on November 23, 2015 at the Thai General Insurance Association. There were 113 people
passing this training course.
6. Conducting Seminars in Guideline on Motor Claim Payments
The Committee, together with the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC), had conducted seminars in
“Guideline on Motor Claim Payments” in provincial areas as follows:
No. 1 – on October 3, 2015, at the Krug-Sri River hotel, Ayutthaya;
No. 2 – on October 10, 2015, at the Centara Convention Center Khon Kaen hotel, Khon Kaen;
No. 3 – on October 19, 2015, at the Hansa JB Hat Yai hotel, Songkla; and
No. 4 – on October 31, 2015, at the Duang Tawan hotel, Chiang Mai.
The seminars covered explanations of Registrar Orders relating to claim payments; collaborations that
the Thai General Insurance Association has with other organizations such as the “Hit and Separate” project,
MOU on Cross-border Motor Insurance Accident Survey, Claim Management, and Underwriting, MOU on the
National Institute for Emergency Medicine vs Road Accident Victims; and resolutions from the meetings between
OIC’s executives and insurance companies.
