6. Insurance Club of Tak Province
The Committee donated 10,000 Baht to help the establishment of an Insurance Club in Tak Province. The
objective of the club is to promote knowledge and understanding in insurance and to create public confidence in
insurance business in the province.

7. Exhibition at the 10 National Seminar on Road Safety.
Promoted the organization of the 10 National Seminar on Road Safety, “Time for Action”, organized by

the Office of Transport and Traffic Policy and Planning between August 25-26, 2011 at the Bangkok International
Trade & Exhibition Centre Bang Na.

8. Meetings and Seminars:
8.1 Meeting on “Motor Insurance’s Claim Payment Process”
The Committee and the Office of Insurance Commission (OIC) organized meetings in central and regional
areas to promote the policy of the OIC to work together with insurance companies to standardize the claims

process in accordance with the directions set forth in the Insurance Commissioner Order No. 27/2554, dated May
27, 2011 which has become effective since July 1, 2011 and to provide explanation on E-Claim system. Seven
meetings were held in the following regions:
1. Bangkok: June 20, 2011 at the Chao Phraya Park Hotel.
2. The North: September 23, 2011 at the Centara Duangtawan Hotel, Chiengmai.
3. The Central: September 30, 2011 at Wasithee City Hotel, Supan Buri Province.
4. The Northeast: October 7, 2011 at the Pullman Khonkaen Hotel, Khon Kaen.
5. The South: October 17, 2011 at the Hansa JB Hotel, Haad Yai, Songkhla.
6. The East and Central: October 19, 2011 at the A-One the Royal Cruise Hotel, Pattaya.
7. The South: February 10, 2011 at the Phuket Merlin Hotel, Phuket.

8.2 Workshop on “Voluntary Motor Insurance Reference Loss Cost”
In response to the distribution of a study finding report on the “Voluntary Motor Insurance Reference Loss
Cost” to member companies of the General Insurance Association by the Insurance Premium Rating Bureau
(IPRB), the Committee and the IPRB organized a workshop on the “Voluntary Motor Insurance Reference Loss
Cost” on September 7, 2011 at the Aethus Bangkok Hotel to create understanding on the subject among member
companies.
