1.  A Project To Study and Disseminate Auto Technical Information Related to Underwriting Risk
                  The Committee has signed a 2 year contract to commission the Thatcham (Thailand) Ltd. to conduct
            a study and disseminate auto technical information related to underwriting risk. Followings are activities in the
            project.
                  (1)  The Thatcham (Thailand) Ltd. will conduct a study and assessment on new cars which are to be sold

            in the market throughout the project period and the top 20 models of cars which have been marketed and
            insured. The company will publish the findings to the public and industry, including the related manufacturers and
            operators.
                  (2) Thatcham (Thailand) Ltd. will act as an agency that delivers the vehicle premium risk rating and
            alternative parts accreditation and the General Insurance Association will help inform the insurance companies of
            the benefits of using accredited alternative parts.
                   A meeting to clarify the operational process and to report the works, accomplished by Thatcham
            (Thailand) Ltd. on Group Rating & Part Accreditation was held on Auguest 22 and 23, 2011 at the Meeting Room
            of the General Insurance Association. The Thatcham (Thailand) Ltd. has prepared the sample information for

            parts accreditation and related documents for the Working Group.


            2. Public Relations Campaign To Publicize New Compulsory Motor Insurance Policy with
            Hologram Strip
                  The General Insurance Association received cooperation from all of the insurance companies who offer
            compulsory motor insurance products in the publication of new compulsory motor insurance policy which has the
            hologram strip printed on in order to prevent forgery. The use of this new policy has started on April 1, 2011 and
            all insurers started to adopt it since July 1, 2011. Public relations programs have been conducted through various
            media since June-July 2011 and the event to mark the official use of the new policy was held on June 10, 2011 at
            the Office of Insurance Commission.
