4. A Project to Study the Loss Cost for Health Insurance by the Insurance Premium Rating
Bureau (IPRB).
The Accident and Health Insurance Club and the Insurance Premium Rating Bureau (IPRB) have a plan to
maintain information on the loss cost of health insurance. So far, information of individual and family heath
insurance the past 3 years (2007-2009) have been collected from member companies.
5. The Definition of Dread Diseases
The Office of Insurance Commission initiated the project in order to have standard reference for dread
diseases in health insurance policy. The working group proposed that a period of time of the 52 dread diseases
should not be set but should be provided in the condition of the policy.
6. Liability Insurance for Entertainment Places
The Committee has completed the drafting of liability insurance and premium rating for entertainment
places to prepare for the issuance of the Ministerial Regulation by the Ministry of Interior to inquire entertainment
places to have the third party liability insurance and has already submitted the draft for an approval in principle
by the Insurance Commissioner. However, since the Ministry of Interior has not issued the related regulations, the
Insurance Commissioner has not yet approved the policy and in reality, right now, member companies have
already offered the third party liability insurance policy to the operators of entertainment places without issuing
new policy. The committee should, therefore, write a letter to ask for the progress of the issue from responsible
agency.
7. A Study and Research Project on Termination of Employment
The Committee was assigned by the Executive Board to conduct a study on termination of employment
and insurance or a possibility of providing insurance for employees whose employments have been terminated in
accordance with the policy of the Department of Welfare and Labor Protection. After the study, the Committee
viewed that the project should be terminated because there is no clear detail.
